Hi Swalwell!!!

We are a group of Venetian boys and girls. Your town looks very nice. It quieter than Venice, isn’t it? WE want to tell you about our city; all along the Gran Canal there are places where you can get a gondola and have a trip around the canals. We like going on one, but it’s very expensive.

Are you near a beach? We’ve got many on the Lido, a strip of land between the sea and the lagoon. Welike it very much and we go there in summer. We like our city because you can walk more than in any normal town, it’s unique, there are many boats and no cars. We like high water, even if it’s a problem for Venice.

We don’t like it because there are too many pigeons and there isn’t much to do. Some areas are full of tramps and we don’t like that.
