Hello!!! We are pupils from Venice. We are thirteen and fourteen years old and we are attending the third and last year of the middle school “Marco Foscarini”. We saw your video about Swalwell. It’s very interesting!!! So we thought we would start a project about our city and what we like and we don’t like about it…

Venice is a particular city because it’s a big island composed of many little artificial islands linked by bridges. It’s a very beautiful city and it’s full of monuments, palaces and wonderful churches.

It is one of the world’s most beautiful cities and attracts millions of visitors to its cafés, palaces, museums and galleries. Wen you get tired of the canals you can also visit the islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello. You must also see the famous Rialto Bridge always full of tourists.

….In Venice there are a lot of beautiful places but my favourite is Cannaregio area because I know it well. I live in Cannaregio . I also like a part of castello where the “Biennale” is held every year. It is a big art show where artists from all over theworld exhibit their work. There is also a nice green area called “Gardens” (“Giardini”)

You can walk safely around the city because there are no cars but only boats in the canals and people walking.

We don’t like the area of the station because there are a lot of bad people. We also don’t like Piazzale Roma (the bus station) for the same reason!!!

Hello guys!!!

How are you, here is all right! Thanks you for the video of your town. It looks very nice and interesting and we would like to come with you to visit your city. Do you like your city? Ours is very beautiful.

Would you like to come to Venice this summer? We can go on the Lido beach. It is fun and cool. We can do lots of things together.

Then there is the Salute church which is a romantic place in front of the lagoon, it was built by Longhena in the XVII century in name of the Virgin who stopped the plague in Venice. On 21st November, Venetian people go to the church to celebrate the Virgin. It is one of the nicest festivals in Venice. They build a bridge of boats across the Gran Canal so you can reach the church on foot. What about festivals in your city? Come and see us!!

Love Giulia, Elisa and Lucrezia.
